Getting it all done...
How does one get all the items checked off of their to do list? First you have to start with a to do list.
As a mom, wife, and full time BCBA I have a lot on my plate. I have always loved making to do lists and I get reinforcement from crossing these items off of the list.
My day typically begins around 6am to take the dog out, make a cup of coffee, do my hair and makeup before I wake the baby at 6:30 (although I am trying to get up at 5am to do cardio, it hasn't been going so well). I get baby ready and do bottle time with her (that way we have time to bond in the morning) and then we are out the door by 7:15. I work until about 3:15pm or 4pm depending on the day and do a working lunch to get extra paperwork done that I can't do at home. I leave work and pick up the baby and we do any unforseen errands before getting home and taking the dog out. Then I unpack her items, pack up for the next day, finish washing dishes, lay out my outfits, and wake her up from her nap. We do bottle time again and then we hangout while I cook/eat my dinner. Then it's bath, pj's, and quiet time until bed. Sometimes I lift weights during this time and baby girl watches me while she plays. After baby goes to bed I take a shower and go to bed at about 9pm/10pm. It's a fast day and I wish I had more time with her but it's the best that we can do.
Thursday nights I squeeze in dusting, vacuuming (the bobsweep does all the work), and getting caught up on laundry. I have been doing grocery delivery or pick up so that I don't have to waste time on this on Saturdays.
Friday nights I work at an in home session and so I don't get home until about 7pm but my love has quality time with the baby and he makes me pizza.
Saturdays are errands and any other cleaning that i didn't get done on Thursdays.
Sunday is family day and now that church is doing Facebook live we watch that as well.
It's crazy but I would be bored if it were any other way.
How do you help yourself stay productive and not overwhelmed throughout the week?
